About us

Our story

In 2009 Adam packed up his life and moved to Newquay, Cornwall to allow him to do more of what he loved, surf. He didn’t have a home to move into so lived in his camper next to the beach for the first 3 months and worked in a local surf shop.

Eventually he found a home close enough to the sea with adequate workshop space to continue surfboard shaping.

Like many small businesses, this all started off in a single garage. Surrounded by old bits of foam and power tools Ad made surfboards for himself and his friends using his extensive background in 3D engineering and fabrication.

His current designs have been honed over the past 3 years and he even gained input from renowned local shapers such as Steve ’Oblong’ Hendon and Luke Hart from 4th Surfboards. Ad’s pursuit of perfection has led to him creating some of the most fun, fast, wave catching surfboards out there.

Although designed with UK waves in mind, Ad will not deem a surfboard ready to sell until it has been extensively tested. Usually this involves dragging it across the globe to places such as Sri Lanka, Costa Rica and California! It could be argued he’s just doing this to take some amazing trips – we’ll let him carry on with this though as a perk of the job given how good his surfboards are!

Poseidon Surfboards mirror Ad’s ethos. Take risks, strive for perfection but most importantly have a kickass time doing it. We’ve taken care of the surfboard for you, all you need to do is embrace your passion and let it put the biggest smile on your face.

Live Slow, Ride Fast.
